Georgina and Anthony, Tortworth Court
Congratulations to Georgina and Anthony who married on 9th September in the sumptuous setting of the Tortworth Court Orangery.
The Ardeton Quartet welcomed guests to the wedding with light classical music as well as the couple’s personal selection of music by the Carpenters, Paul Weller and Madness during the ceremony. Afterwards guests enjoyed the lovely autumn sunshine out on the lawn, with the surprise addition of a passing hot-air balloon! Our jazz music suited the occasion perfectly as everybody mingled with their drinks to watch the photos being taken.
Wedding ceremony at Castle Coch
Congratulations to Hannah and Lloyd, who held their intimate wedding ceremony in the fairytale setting of Castle Coch, near Cardiff.
The couple chose traditional classical music for their entrance and exit music, and added a personal touch by including “Kissing You” and “Do Nothing ’till You Hear From Me” for other parts of the ceremony. It was a lovely afternoon, helped by some welcome sunshine streaming through the windows!
Wedding of Christina and Jon in Morgans Hotel, Swansea
Congratulations to Christina and Jon who got married in Morgans Hotel on 3rd September.
The Ardeton Quartet played music during Jon and Christina’s ceremony, which they had personalised by choosing David Bowie’s “Changes” to walk out to. The Quartet then entertained guests in the bar whilst the couple had photos taken and mingled amongst their friends and relatives. During the wedding breakfast we had fun playing the guests’ musical selections from the Quartet Jukebox cards placed on each table.
Wedding of Darren and Clare at Ashton Court Mansion
Congratulations to Darren and Clare, who held their wedding in Ashton Court Mansion on 2nd September in the grand music room.
The Ardeton Quartet played music during the ceremony, before moving outside to the lawn to play whilst the couple had their photos taken in the grounds of Ashton Court. Despite it being a rather windy autumn day we entertained guests with some summery music, which also seemed to be enjoyed by the dog-walkers passing by!
Wedding Music at The Great Barn, Devon
Our congratulations to Claire and Keiron for their wedding day on 1st September!
The Ardeton Quartet played for Claire and Keiron’s wedding ceremony in the historical St John the Baptist Church in Ashton, and afterwards entertained their guests at The Great Barn whilst the couple had photos taken in the beautiful garden. It was a lovely afternoon, and several of the children enjoyed dancing to our music!
Wedding Music at Orchardleigh House
Congratulations to Nicky and Steve, who married in the beautiful setting of Orchardleigh House on 31st August. The Ardeton Quartet played outside the church as guests arrived for the wedding ceremony, and then relocated to the gardens to entertain the wedding party during the photos and drinks reception.
Although the sun didn’t quite make it through the clouds, the terrace of Orchardleigh was decorated with beautiful flower displays and antique furniture props left behind by a visiting film crew!
Wedding Music at St Pierre Resort, Chepstow
Congratulations to Katherine and Richard – married at St Pierre Marriott Hotel, Chepstow.
The Ardeton String Quartet were delighted to round off a busy weekend playing at the St Pierre Hotel at Chepstow. Accompanied in a stately fashion, Katherine entered to the traditional Wagner Wedding March, with the matching Mendelsohnn Bridal chorus for her exit. Katherine and Richard chose to personalise the service, however, with The Beatles’ All You Need is Love for the signing of the registers.
The String Quartet then moved to the courtyard at the front of the hotel for up-tempo jazz standards on the sun-lit lawn, with photos and drinks run expertly by the toast-master for the day.
Wedding at Cripps Barn, Gloucestershire
Congratulations to Bonnie and Al, married at Cripps Barn, Gloucestershire.
The Ardeton String Quartet today made their first journey to Cripps Barn, in the delightful Gloucestershire country side. Surrounded on all sides by fields, and bathed in August sunlight, this cosy and intimate setting is one of the most enchanting wedding venues.
The quartet played Pachelbel for Bonnie’s entrance, a closely guarded secret from the guests, with Jesu Joy during the signing of the registers. After the ceremony we played out on the lawn as the guests enjoyed drinks and canopies during the photographs.
